Description

The AVCO 9900 series ball valve is a 2-piece flanged valve designed for the precision flow control market. It has all the features of our 9100 series valve with the added benefit of an engineered Vee or slot in the floating ball along with tight tolerances to minimize hysteresis (backlash and judder). Standard balls are available with 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 degree Vee ports. We can also custom engineer a Vee or slot to meet your specific flow characteristics. The valve is cast in sizes ½” through 12” with Class 150 or Class 300 integral flanges. Available materials include stainless steel 316 (CF8M), Carbon steel (WCB), Hastelloy C (CW12MW) or Alloy 20 materials. It is designed to be fire safe per API 607 and meets the requirements of ASME B16.34, ASME B16.5 and API 598. The Vee balls can also be used in our 9500 series cryogenic valves where precise control is needed in cryogenic service. When coupled with an actuator and positioner via the ISO 5211 mount pad, these valves give accurate, reliable and responsive flow.
